- Conserve Resources: Reclaim valuable materials for reuse or recycling, reducing the need for virgin resources.
- Promote Sustainability: Foster a sustainable consumption model that extends the life of materials and products.
- Support Our Community: Potentially offer economic incentives for responsible disposal.

When your Spacebar product reaches the end of its useful life, we encourage you to participate in our take-back program:

1. Return to Store:
Customers are invited to bring their Spacebar furniture products back to any of our retail locations during operating hours. Please ensure the product is reasonably clean and free from hazardous materials.

2. Assessment and Evaluation: Upon return, our trained staff will assess the condition of the furniture. This assessment will consider factors such as:
- Structural integrity
- Material condition (wood, metal, upholstery, etc.)
- Potential for repair or refurbishment
- Overall usability

3. Product Pathways: Based on the assessment, your returned furniture will follow one of the following pathways:
- Refurbishment & Resale: If the product is in good to excellent condition, with minor repairs or cleaning required, we may refurbish it and offer it for resale through a dedicated second-life program (e.g., "Pre-Loved Spacebar” collection).
- Material Recycling: For products that are beyond repair or refurbishment, we will dismantle them and sort materials for recycling. This includes, but is not limited to, wood, metal, and certain fabric components. We partner with certified recycling facilities to ensure responsible processing.
- Component Reuse: Salvageable components (e.g., hardware, unique design elements) may be extracted and reused in new products or for repair services.

4. Buy-Back Option (Store Credit/Monetary Incentive):As an incentive for participating in our circular system, we offer a buy-back option for products that demonstrate significant remaining value.
- Eligibility: The eligibility for a buy-back will be determined by the condition of the product upon assessment (as outlined in point 2). Products deemed suitable for refurbishment and resale are most likely to qualify.
- Incentive Value: If eligible, customers may receive a store credit, gift card, or a partial monetary refund, the value of which will be determined by Spacebar based on the product's condition, original purchase price, and current market value for refurbished items.
- Process: The specific value will be communicated to the customer after the assessment, and the chosen incentive will be provided at the time of return.

- This policy applies exclusively to furniture products manufactured and sold by Spacebar Design. Proof of purchase may be requested.
- We reserve the right to refuse products that are unsanitary, pose a health hazard, or are significantly damaged beyond reasonable repair or material recovery.
- The buy-back option is at the sole discretion of Spacebar Design and subject to the product's condition and our current capacity for refurbishment or resale.

By participating in our End-of-Life Product Policy, you are directly contributing to a more sustainable future and helping us close the loop on furniture consumption. We believe that true quality extends beyond the initial purchase and includes responsible end-of-life management.
