Truth or Dare Bar

Truth or Dare Bar was conceived as an immersive stage for cocktails and cuisine, where every serve becomes a sensory performance. The client’s vision was to fuse indulgence with ethics, pairing bold, locally sourced ingredients with an interior grounded in regenerative design. The brief called for a moody, intimate environment that told stories, sparked curiosity, and proved that sustainability could elevate the hospitality experience rather than constrain it.

The design embraces circular principles at every level. Sustainably sourced black-stained plywood cabinetry, recycled wood fibre acoustic panels, and glass benchtops crafted from waste all create a rich, dramatic backdrop.

A concealed glowing “hearth” made from recycled fishing nets and plastic bags reimagines fire as warmth reborn through waste. Minimal, deliberate lighting enhances texture and theatricality, ensuring each cocktail feels like a spotlight moment. Completed under budget, the fitout demonstrates that sustainability fuels innovation, delivering a space that is both luxurious and low-impact. Truth or Dare stands as a bold benchmark for sustainable hospitality, where indulgence meets intention, and truth and dare live side by side.
